SAT School Day registration and testing

SAT School Day is a way to take the SAT during the school day at a participating school. The school or district registers students, and the school sets the testing date. You take the SAT for a reportable score and can send that result to colleges according to their admissions policies.

Last updated:

SAT School Day is a school-run administration of the SAT during the school day. Your school selects a date within its testing window, and staff at the school or district handle registration. On a weekend administration, students choose a test date and center through their own College Board accounts.

Suppose your counselor announces an SAT for juniors, but the date on the school calendar is missing from the weekend registration page. Ask the counselor whether you are on the school’s testing list and where to report that morning. Once you have those instructions, you can build your test day plan around your school’s schedule. The score from that sitting can be sent to colleges.
