The GRE General Test is a graduate admissions exam that assesses how you reason with text and numbers and how you develop an argument in writing. The ETS outline puts the essay first. After that, either a verbal or a quantitative section can appear. Each measure gets its own score.
Suppose you are applying for a public policy master’s and want to review your first GRE practice test. In the essay, check whether your example supports your claim. For a missed quantitative question, work the problem again and mark the step where your reasoning changed. The two notes point to quite different things to practice next.
