IELTS One Skill Retake
IELTS One Skill Retake lets eligible candidates take one component again after a full IELTS test on computer. The new report shows the retaken skill alongside the earlier results for the other skills. Check whether the organisation that will receive the report accepts this option.
Last updated:
IELTS One Skill Retake lets you sit Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking again after an eligible full test on computer. You must take the retake within 60 days of the original test under the IELTS eligibility rules.
Imagine your offer for a teacher education course requires stronger Speaking than your report shows. Before booking, ask admissions whether they accept a retake for that course. If you retake Speaking, look for the new Speaking band on the updated form. Listening, Reading and Writing carry over from the full test, and the overall band reflects the new set of results. You can still choose to submit your original form.
