module: Timed Section Stage on the Digital SAT
Module is a separately timed subdivision of a digital SAT section, with both the Reading and Writing section and the Math section consisting of a first module and a second module. You work through the mixed questions of the opening module before advancing to the closing module, which adapts its difficulty level to your earlier responses.

A module is a separately timed unit within a section of the digital SAT. According to College Board’s structure overview, both the Reading and Writing section and the Math section consist of a first module and a second module connected through multistage adaptive testing, where your performance across the opening unit determines the difficulty mix of the closing unit.
Each unit operates as its own self-contained timing block. While the clock for your current unit runs, you can jump between questions, use the tools available for that section, such as reading annotations or the Math calculator, and flag items for a second look. When practicing a full section, practice flagging any time-consuming question immediately so you can answer every familiar item in the unit first, then spend your remaining minutes working through the flagged questions before advancing.
